We are a friendly club based in Horsham, West Sussex. We meet on Sunday evenings usually at Tanbridge House School but periodically at Forest or Bohunt School.
Forest Badminton Club encourages people in the Horsham area to enjoy playing badminton and aims to provide opportunities for competition. We run club tournaments, play in local leagues and support entry into county tournaments. Whilst we cannot take beginners, we have a number of members who just play for fun as well as league players and those who represent Sussex at various levels.

- The College of Richard Collyer (82 Hurst Road, Horsham RH12 2EJ)
- The Forest School (Comptons Lane, Horsham RH13 5NT)

Seniors typically play 7pm to 9.30pm on Sundays.
We operate a peg board system; the aim is that all members mix in and get competitive games during the evening.
Membership
Membership is paid annually covering the hire of the courts and feather shuttles. As a guide, 2024-25 fee was £205 with discounted rates available for students, those over 60 and those in the same household.
Badminton England membership is also compulsory. As a guide, the Community Club Member rate was around £23 in 2025-26 (which includes the Sussex County fee). Membership provides public liability insurance and a range of other benefits including discounted tickets at the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships. We aim to hold regular events as well as the Christmas party. Keep an eye on the club Noticeboard for upcoming events.
